North Wales Wedding Photographer | Blue Acre Weddings
I get to witness some truly special celebrations, and being Amelia and Luke’s North Wales wedding photographer at Blue Acre Weddings was one I will never forget. Their day was heartfelt, creative, and full of warmth, set within one of the most beautiful outdoor wedding venues in North Wales.
Blue Acre Weddings is nestled on the edge of the stunning Snowdonia National Park, offering uninterrupted views of the Welsh mountains and countryside. It is a dream setting for couples looking for a relaxed, nature-filled wedding day with a strong sense of place.
I have known Amelia for many years, ever since we bonded over our shared love of photography. When Amelia and Luke got engaged, Amelia reached out to ask if I would photograph both their engagement session and wedding day - I was genuinely honoured! Knowing how much Amelia values photography made her trust in me even more meaningful.
Outdoor wedding photography in North Wales
Amelia and Luke are both from North Wales, so choosing a venue surrounded by the landscapes they love felt completely right. Their entire wedding day took place on site at Blue Acre Weddings, from bridal prep, followed by a relaxed outdoor ceremony and a joyful evening of dancing under the stars, as the sun set behind the mountains.
Their ceremony was deeply personal and rooted in Welsh tradition. Set against the breathtaking mountain backdrop, Amelia and Luke included hand-fasting as part of their vows, symbolising their commitment to one another. Just before walking back down the aisle together, they also jumped the broom, a meaningful tradition representing a new beginning.
Elegant, natural wedding details filled with meaning
Creativity flowed through every part of Amelia and Luke’s wedding day, creating an atmosphere that felt both elegant and deeply personal. Amelia and her mum share a love of making and creating, and together with Luke, friends, and family, they lovingly handcrafted many of the wedding details. From the giant handmade flowers for the photo booth backdrop to bunting, crocheted pumpkins, table décor, a handmade ceremony arch, hand-fasting cords, and even the traditional wedding broom, every element reflected their personalities and the romantic, heartfelt connection they share.
“OMG Hazel we love them!! They’re so beautiful! Photos and memories to last a lifetime! Thank you Hazel, you are an absolute star!”
It was a joy to photograph a wedding where every guest felt involved and connected, whether through creating decorations or supporting Amelia and Luke throughout the day. Returning to North Wales - both personally and professionally - made this wedding especially meaningful for me.
Thank you so much, Amelia and Luke, for trusting me to capture your wedding day at Blue Acre Weddings. I truly loved every moment!
Hazel xx
